Aires Florencia Guadalupe Aguilar was born in Merlo, Buenos Aires province, Argentina in 1979.
She began her bond with photography as a child, through his father who was an amateur and transmitted his love for photography to her. Later, in 1999 she joined the photography workshop at the School of Architecture, Design and Urbanism, at the University of Buenos Aires (FADU), where she completed the Basic course in Black and White Photography, and realized than photography was more a way of expression than a hobby.
Since then, photography became a greater and constant interest in her life, a concern that led to different courses, workshops and seminars. Among them, Documentary Photography; Advanced Photography Course; Introduction to Macrophotography; Portrait; Advanced Black & White Laboratory Techniques and Conservation -Fine Art Prints-; lighting in studio/product photography Course; Vision & Composition Seminar; Experimental Techniques of Black & White Laboratory; Alternative Copying Techniques -Gum bichromate; Photographic Vision Workshop; and Art History Career (AMMNBA).
In 2005 the workshop in Pinhole Photography allowed her to discover the endless possibilities offered by this field of photography. This technique immediately passionate her because of the creative versatility and aesthetic it offers.
She exhibited her work at the House of Culture in Adrogué; Cultural Bar „Don Quijote” in Luján; at the Cultural Center „El trébol Naranja” in Merlo, at the Secretariat for Planning and Coordination of San Fernando, the House of Culture in Merlo; the National School of Photography; Manzana de las Luces; in the 1st and 2nd Encuentro Nacional de Fotografía Estenopeica at San Martín cultural center; and in the Ogólnopolski Festiwal Fotografii Otworkowej (OFFO 2009&2011).
She also exhibited her work alongside Pedro Vidal Bavio at Casa de la Cultura de Merlo and at Cultural Center Bento Silvério, Florianópolis, Brasil.
Currently, she continues exploring this photography method, designing and building pinhole cameras, and processing from start to end the photosensitive material used.
She also continues her work as a teacher in Advanced Black & White Laboratory Techniques and Conservation, Experimental Techniques of Black & White Laboratory; Basic and Advanced Photography Courses and Pinhole Photography workshop, while she works in her production as an author.
